The goal of the project was to create a functioning and physical prototype of a tabletop game for a game studies class
My primary contributions to Squabble were the creation of the games core systems and mechanics as well as the games visual identity and characters

Research and Inspirations
Our group was heavily influenced and inspired by the games Cards Against Humanity, Epic Spell Wars, Superfight and Snake Oil.
What do these games share?
Each of these games shares an element of randomness that generate moments of improvised comedic moments.
These games are also easy to pick up and play for beginner players and are more geared towards casual environments

What is Squabble?
Squabble was designed to be a fighting card game aimed at casual board game players. The core of the game was built around the creation of moves by combining Action Cards with Attribute Cards resulting in humorous attack names. The intent was to create a chaotic but fun experience
Original Squabble Ruleset
• Combine the 2 card types in your hand, then use them together on your turn
• "Moves" have the base stats
• "Attributes" determine the target and add an effect and/or bonus stats
• The "attack" stat deals damage
• The "defense" stat prevents damage
• The "style" stat gets the crowd's favor
• First one to 10 style, or last one to O health wins, whichever comes first
